My name is Ed Dockham, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Dedham Select Board. As a lifelong resident of this wonderful town, I have a deep-rooted love for our community and an unwavering commitment to its future.

Professionally, I have built a successful career working in IT and finance departments, where I’ve gained valuable experience in problem-solving, strategic planning, and effective resource management. These skills have equipped me to address the challenges our town faces and to work collaboratively toward practical solutions that benefit all residents.

On a personal level, I am blessed to share my life with my wife, Ellen, and our three amazing sons. Raising our family here has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Our days have been filled with Dedham’s town events, football games, and creating lasting memories for our children. Now that my sons are pursuing careers in the trades and beginning their journeys into adulthood, I have more time to dedicate to giving back to the town that has given so much to my family.

Being raised in Dedham and raising my sons here has given me a unique perspective on the community’s needs, challenges, and opportunities. I am passionate about fostering a sense of unity and pride among our residents while ensuring that Dedham continues to thrive as a place where families, businesses, and individuals can flourish.

As a candidate for the Select Board, I bring a practical, solutions-oriented approach and a genuine desire to listen to and serve the people of Dedham.
